33 Years... All Killer, No Filler.
Erik Anders, originally from Washington, DC, found his roots in blues and rockabilly with early influence from Reverend Billy C. Wirtz. He launched his music career in Frederick, MD with The Gokatz USA, known for their gut-bucket psychobilly and the standout album It Ain’t Easy Bein’ Greasy.
After moving on from Frederick, Erik formed The Dragtones, releasing Live from Lockjaw in 1993. That same year, he met Sun Records legend Billy Lee Riley, resulting in the 7" A Tribute to a Legend and a global tribute album featuring bands writing original songs about Riley.
Throughout the late '90s and early 2000s, The Dragtones toured heavily and released two albums: Gambler’s Grave(psychobilly, engineered by Les Thompson of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) and Blood, Guts and Rock and Roll (dark garage rock).
In 2020, the band relocated to Hampton Roads, VA, and dropped a self-titled 12" single featuring "Memphis In The Dark."
Now joined by Logan Francis (bass) and Doug Francis (drums), Dragtones are set to release their first full-length album since 1993 in 2025, with tour dates to follow.
LOUD. FAST. Always professional. Always rock and roll.
Past collaborators: Murphy’s Law, Clutch, Dex Romweber, The Dead Milkmen, Billy Lee Riley, Sasquatch and the Sickobillies, The Marauders, Stray Cats & more.
